CUSO Financial Services receives FINRA approval and opens its doors for business. And, yes, it’s 1997! Sweater vest, check. Shoulder pads, check, check. Soon after officially becoming a BD, we celebrate our first program to sign on.
By the mid-2000s, we’ve signed on over 40 programs and celebrate $5+ million in GDC.

What a difference a decade makes. More than 100-programs strong and Valorie being honored by Ernst & Young as Entrepreneur of the Year.
As we head into the 2010s, we use our experience working exclusively with credit unions to continue delivering customized solutions for credit unions and surpass $100 million in GDC with over 150 credit union programs.
Now one of the fastest-growing companies and named among the best places to work in San Diego, we move offices to our present-day campus on Meanley Drive to support growth and increase efficiencies.
Chief Relationship Officer Kevin Mummau is inducted into BISA Circle of Excellence.
We win our 1st BISA award for our innovation in technology. This first win goes to our app that helps financial professionals scan documents securely and remotely.
We’re just getting started. A new “buttoned up” lobby shot of the team, now serving over 180 programs, BISA Technology Innovation Awards for our BuildMyProfile tool and SendMyDocs phone app and Valorie gracing her first magazine cover!
A banner year, with CUSO Financial Services becoming part of Atria Wealth Solutions to provide credit union partners deeper resources and new technology platforms. Joining the Atria family gives way to our fourth consecutive BISA Technology Innovation Award and being nominated at the Top Tech Exec Awards. And, of course, commemorating 20 years in business.
We earn our 5th consecutive technology innovation award from BISA for fundVision, our innovative, consolidated trading and reporting platform for mutual funds.
We launch Clear1, our intuitive client portal, along with business texting to offer even more ways for you to stay in touch with your members. Over the next three years, Clear1 logins nearly triple to over 11 million and the number of texts sent exceeds one million with an average of 20,000 texts per month.
2020, a year for the books in many ways as we achieve $30+ billion in AUA. But we’re not just proud of our numbers. Our co-founders Valorie Seyfert and Amy Beattie join Kevin Mummau in BISA’s Circle of Excellence.
BISA recognizes us for the ninth time in a row for our innovation in technology — this time for BusinessOptimizer™ in Unio™, the digital ‘coach’ that helps programs reach their business goals and develop more meaningful member connections.
We travel to the Ritz-Carlton Aruba to celebrate the success of our financial professionals and program managers who achieved Gold Pacesetter status.
